We will spend it all at sea

Hello world.

May I present two new edits.  Both for my continued "Jacket" series.  Both presented as toned Cyanotypes.  I used cheap Canson sketch paper to print on and Safeway black tea for toning.  I found the tea in the underbelly of the lowest shelf, severely marked down to $1.29 for 100 bags.  On sale!  It seriously works some kind of voodoo magic on Cyanotypes.

All images were taken at Sea Cliff, right above Ocean Beach with my digital Canon camera.  I am so grateful to have found such a smooth transition between digital image capture and analog historic printing.  The bane of my existence lies only in the tripod that both holds up my godsend and brings down my credibility as a "tourist" and thus cuts my shooting locations down to about 10 minutes or so...a cry I hear so often from other wretched souls like me.

But in all, it was a good day to be out shooting near the water.  I enjoyed basking in the sun and listening to the wind and the water.  I felt in my element and posed with ease as curious onlookers puzzled over the peculiar girl in a jacket with the camera.
